The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is starting our new strategic planning process and is requesting your feedback via a 2024 Agency Survey. This survey is meant to engage all of our community partners regarding your current needs and priorities so that we can consider those during our planning.
If you have not already completed the 2024 Agency Survey, Please use this link, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2024agencysurvey, to take the survey before the deadline of Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The survey will take 20-25 minutes to complete. Please note that we are requesting that only one survey per agency be submitted. If you have more than one site location, please consider all of your locations when completing the survey. We have enclosed a PDF of the survey for your preview so you can consult with other team members if needed.
Thank you to agencies who have completed the 2024 Agencies Survey. We truly appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey and for all of your assistance in serving nutrition-insecure people in Los Angeles County.

Please note that we will continue to bring in various donated produce items in addition to the TEFAP produce listed above. Other items available at the moment are walnuts and blueberries. To encourage the use of these items, our Nutrition Service Team has created these handouts that you may provide to your neighbors along with these items when ordered.
If your agency has accepted products from the Food Bank in the yellow totes depicted below, they must be returned to the Food Bank after cleaning them. Each week, the Food Bank returns these totes to the donor who needs them to continue providing donations to the Food Bank and our agencies.
Agencies may return the totes weekly at their next pick up appointment. If your agency is unable to return these totes at the following appointment, please do not accept items inside of these totes, as it may prevent the availability of this donated product in the future.
Best Practices Highlight
Insulated blankets are required when transporting perishable food in a non-refrigerated vehicle. Also, using insulated blankets during a pantry distribution is a great way to keep perishable items at the recommended storage temperatures when a refrigerator is unavailable. Please check the temperature of perishable items regularly using a calibrated thermometer when items are out of refrigeration.
Nutrition Services
Participate in Heart Health Month by eating heart-healthy foods, like tuna. It is packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, which help lower the risk of heart disease. Use this recipe to make a refreshing tuna snack such as Tuna Boats.
Nutrition Services - Food, Nutrition and Health Tips
Cutting down on sodium is an effective way to prevent high blood pressure. Display these handouts at your pantry to encourage your customers to make small changes towards healthier lifestyle goals.
Thank you to all agencies who have submitted corrections to the form below. It has been very helpful to our team to ensure that our Pantry Locator has current and updated information. If you have not already, please take a moment to visit our Website, Pantry Locator, and find your listing on our site by searching with your zip code. If the information you find is correct, no action will be needed. If the entry for your location is incorrect, please complete this form to reflect your current distribution dates and hours.
Civil Rights Training is mandatory training for all staff of volunteers at TEFAP Sites who interact with participants. The Food Bank Agency Relations Team offers this training monthly.
Do you need a refresher course or have new team members who would benefit from learning about online ordering, agency shopping, monthly reporting, or food distribution policies? Please ask all your staff or long-standing volunteers to attend the next virtual Food Bank 101 training!
