Important Reminder to Agencies
Please Review Your Agency Agreement
All agencies participating in programs with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank have signed an Agency Agreement, of which all points are required to be adhered to in order to remain in good standing with the Food Bank.
Important Points to Remember
- 10. To give (at no charge) food and other items obtained from the Food Bank directly to an agency's clients regardless of whether the agency paid shared maintenance fees or purchased items from the Shop, Smart and Save program. An agency cannot request or require donations from clients. An agency cannot request or require clients to exchange service time for food or other items received from the Food Bank.
- 12. Not to directly or indirectly sell, exchange, barter, transfer or charge a fee of any kind for food or other items received from the Food Bank. Not to share food or other items received from the Food Bank with any other non-profit or religious organization without prior written approval from the Food Bank.
Ordering Freezer and Cooler Foods
When submitting orders through Agency Express, it is imperative to only request cases of freezer and cooler items that can be securely stored in designated freezer or refrigerator units from the time of delivery or pick up until distribution. It is vital for all agencies to uphold food safety standards at their facilities to prevent foodborne illnesses by correctly handling food items.

Agencies with Equipment of Vehicle Issued by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
Reminder: Equipment issued by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is the property of the Food Bank. Items cannot be discarded, destroyed, reallocated, or given to others without prior written approval from the Food Bank.

SUN Bucks - Summer EBT Program Information
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and the California Department of Social Service (CDSS) wanted to share that the Summer EBT Team has developed a SUN Bucks program for household distribution. Please help us spread the word by sharing the flyer below amongst your neighbors or using it for your own campaigns. It takes many partners to help bring Summer EBT to our communities, and together we can reduce the child hunger gap during the summer months.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Summer EBT team at SEBT@dss.ca.gov, if you have questions.

Update for TEFAP Agencies
SAM.Gov Unique Entity Identification Number Requirements
If you have completed your SAM.gov registration and provided your Unique Entity Identification (UEI), thank you.
This is a reminder to agencies who have not completed and obtained the required Unique Entity Identification (UEI) through SAM.gov to please do so as soon as possible.
Agencies that have not completed the request will not be placed on hold at this time. However, when we are notified by the California Department of Social Services that we must place agencies on hold that have not completed this requirement, we will do so. We do not know how much advance notice LARFB and our partners will receive before we place accounts on hold. This is why it is very important for your agency to continue to work towards obtaining your UEI.
Remember to use the name of your organization and your agency’s address when requesting your agency's UEI. All agencies must apply for their own Unique Entity Identification even if your agency is part of a 501(c)3 umbrella i.e. SDA’s, Catholic Conference, Salvation Army, etc. If, during the validation process, you are required to submit any type of document, we recommend submitting a bank statement or utility bill for validation; not your 501c3 or articles of incorporation, since the address on these documents may not match your address.
Once your agency has completed the registration, kindly fill out the following LARFB - UEI Agency Form to provide your Unique Entity Identification to our TEFAP team. If your agency did not make the record public, please use the LARFB - UEI Agency Form to upload a copy of UEI registration after saving the file and/or taking a screenshot.

Warehouse Policies Reminder
Please note that no minors are allowed on Food Bank Property. We understand that agencies occasionally allow minors to volunteer for their programs. However, due to safety constraints, minors are prohibited on Food Bank Property during Order Pick Up or Shopping.
We kindly ask that you prioritize your safety by wearing appropriate clothing and shoes on our premises. This includes wearing closed-toe shoes to protect your feet from any hazards in the warehouse environment. Additionally, wearing comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement will help prevent any accidents or injuries during your visit. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a safe and secure pick-up experience.
Three-Person Pick Up Rule
To avoid congestion and ensure safety, only up to three agency representatives are permitted to assist with loading outside your vehicle. Any additional representatives must wait inside the vehicle or in our designated waiting area away from the traffic line of forklifts and other equipment.
