Update for TEFAP Agencies
Auditing & Report Submission
Reports are due every 5th business day of each following month. It is very important to submit your reports in a timely manner. Not submitting reports on time will result in a HOLD being placed on your agency’s account and will not be lifted until the report is received. Please send your reports directly to TEFAPREPORTS@lafoodbank.org.
Your agency may be asked to submit EFA - 7 (sign-in) forms as part of an audit. Please ensure that your agency provides the EFA-7 forms by the deadline requested. Failure to do so may result in your agency’s account being placed on HOLD, until the EFA-7 forms have been received. Not all agencies will need to submit the EFA-7 forms on a monthly basis, only when requested for auditing purposes.
TEFAP forms and posters have been recently updated. If your agency is in need of refreshed posters or forms, please refer to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank website HERE or contact a member of Agency Relations.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is happy to announce that Julie Villarreal has joined our team as our new TEFAP Specialist. She will be working with the Agency Relations Department overseeing all TEFAP program duties. We are so excited to have her join our team! Welcome our newest team member!

With summer around the corner, we understand if your days and hours are changing to accommodate the heat and increased need from your neighbors. Please take a moment to visit our Website Pantry Locator, and find your listing on our site by searching with your zip code. If the information you find is correct, no action will be needed. If the entry for your location is incorrect, please complete one of the forms below to reflect your current distribution dates and hours and submit the form to agency-relations@lafoodbank.org.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank advises that smart lifting and material handling is a best practice. Did you know that the leading cause of injury in the workplace is improper carrying and lifting of heavy materials? Tension to the shoulders and back is the most common factor in lifting injuries, causing strains and sprains when lifting and carrying loads that are either too heavy or oversized improperly. Here are some essential tips to remember when using best practices for smart lifting and material handling:

Food, Nutrition and Healthy Tips
Frozen and canned foods, when prepared and cooked properly are just as nutritious as grocery store produce. Print and display this tip sheet to show your customers the benefits of consuming these products.
Please note that we will continue to bring in various donated items in addition to the TEFAP items listed on Agency Express. To encourage the use of these items, our Nutrition Service Team has created these handouts that you may provide to your neighbors along with these items when ordered.

When visiting The Food Bank's Distribution Centers, we kindly request that all agencies adhere to the warehouse policies, which include refraining from gleaning any and all received food items and disposing of trash on the food bank's property.
