The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is honored to announce that Burbank Temporary Aid Center is the Agency of the Month for June 2025. We have enjoyed an outstanding partnership for over 20 years. Their dedication to the Los Angeles community is commendable, and we look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come!
Best Practices Visits
The Agency Relations (AR) team is now offering Best Practices visits by appointment with our agency partners. During the Best Practices visit, we will review and discuss your inventory, reporting, and distribution practices. We will recommend process changes for better efficiency and customer service to neighbors. If you are interested in scheduling a visit with a member of the AR Team, please send an email to Agency-Relations@lafoodbank.org with the Subject Line “Best Practices Visit,” and we will reach out to schedule with you.
Distribution Policies Reminder
All agencies partnered with the Food Bank can only distribute products provided by the Food Bank at the sites approved by the Food Bank listed on their Agency Agreements. This policy ensures food safety and other policies are followed to continue assisting people in LA County.
Before distribution at an unapproved site, agencies must submit a new agreement with the Food Bank and schedule a site inspection with a member of the Agency Relations Team.
This includes distributions for one-time events at parks or other organizations.
All agencies partnered with the Food Bank have agreed not to share food or other items received from the Food Bank with any other non-profit or religious organization without prior written approval from the Food Bank. The supplies distributed to your organization shall be used specifically for the purpose of distributing them to the community that your organization serves.
Agencies found to be distributing products from the Food Bank at a non-approved site or sharing with another organization without prior written consent from the Food Bank may be in danger of having their account suspended or terminated.

Summer is around the corner, and temperatures are on the rise. As the temperature increases, the chances of developing Heat Exhaustion or Heat Stroke also increase. Watch for signs and symptoms in yourself and others. Pay special attention to small children and older adults, as they are at higher risk of developing heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Please see the resource below that can be helpful at your agency site when training staff or volunteers about the identification and prevention of heat-related illnesses.
Tomatoes are tasty little health boosters, packed with vitamin C, potassium, and lycopene—a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your heart and cells. They're low in calories but big on benefits!
