Join me in supporting workers impacted by the government shutdown by making a donation. Our goal is to get to $2,000 as a team.
For 45 years, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has mobilized resources to fight hunger in our community. One in seven people in Los Angeles County experiences food insecurity. These numbers reflect the need for food prior to the government shutdown. With nearly 245,000 federal workers located in California, food banks have seen the need for food support increase. Although the government shutdown has ended temporarily (3 weeks) workers are not expected to get paid until end of month. Please note that not all government workers will receive backpay, contractors such as janitors, security, independent, etc. will not receive back pay, due to a bill rejected 1/30/19.
Let's support our community and ensure families don't go hungry during this time.
Every $1 donated allows the Food Bank to distribute the equivalent of four meals through their agency network or Food Bank programs. Plus, our contributions save the Food Bank time and resources incurred through traditional Food Drives.
Your donations are greatly appreciated.
